Fresh Harvest on Chorro Street

farmers_miscDowntown SLO Farmers’ Market Is Growing

Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market is expanding the produce section of The Market! Starting Thursday, June 2nd, look for the “Fresh Harvest” section on Chorro Street.  The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association in collaboration with SLO County Farmers’ Market Association are excited to offer visitors a more enhanced shopping experience with the addition of a wide variety of new local farmers to The Market. The newly arriving farmers will be selling eggs, cheese, raw and prepared meats, seafood and grains as well as other products.

Morro Bay fisherman Jo Oliver will be selling seasonal fish caught in our beautiful Pacific Ocean and Bee Wench Farms will be bringing out poultry and eggs. Another unique addition brought to The Market will be Bella-Sage Rabittry from Paso Robles.  There will be cured meats from Alle Pia and a wonderful grains selection of Ancient Grains from well-known farmer, Larry Kandarian. You will also be able to find our favorite “cheese head” from Chateau Fresno Organics on the Chorro Street expansion selling their tasty sheep’s milk cheese.

This exciting expansion is in the heart of the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market and we are proud to be  continually cultivating more locally minded consumption in our community. Be sure to check out our online Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market Map starting June 2nd for detailed information on the location of vendors through our online interactive map at or find us at the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market Information Booth at the corner of Chorro & Higuera Streets for the location of specific vendors.
