The 5th Annual San Luis Obispo Marathon + Half will take place Sunday, May 1st. The “Small Town, Big Race” attracts thousands to Downtown SLO and the Central Coast.  Athletes and supporters may be arriving as early as Thursday, April 28th for scheduled events prior to race day!  The 26.2 mile course starts at SLO High School and loops around beautiful Downtown, passing the Fremont Theater, City Courthouse and Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa before heading into the hills, vineyards and farmland of the Edna Valley and finishes at the iconic Madonna Inn.

The scheduled route means street closures  through the Downtown area. Streets will be closed to all vehicles, with the exception of marathon staff and emergency vehicles.  In the Downtown area,  “No Parking” signs will be posted and cars will be towed if left on the streets at closure time.
