Trespassing Form

San Luis Obispo Police Department and SLO Downtown Association need your cooperation in addressing transient behavior in vacant spaces.  SLO PD would like to encourage property owners with these spaces to file a standard form to help them enforce trespassing laws in the Downtown area.  Click here to download the Trespassing Form.

In addition to the form, the Police Department is asking owners to put up “no trespassing” signs in windows.  The signage, along with the form, enables officers to keep transients from panhandling and residing in those areas.

I, Giglia Sherman, legal owner of Space 62 at Creekside Mobile Homepark, located at 3960 South Higuera Street that William Dunn aka “Billy” Dunn has been and continues to trespass at space 62. He has been verbally abusive, disruptive to the neighbored and has caused property damage in the past. I have spoken to SGT Booth and state that William Dunnis NOT allowed to be on or near soace 18 and in fact, is disallowed by the park MGT. to be in the complex.

      Hi Giglia,
Your business is located outside of our San Luis Obispo Downtown Association boundary. Please contact the San Luis Obispo Police Department for more information.

      Thank you.

I am pleased to see this form available to business owners to use to avoid trespassers. However I am having trouble finding on the City’s website the specific law(s) that describe trespassing and legal remedies to end it.

I’d appreciate a referral to that specific Ordinance. Thank you!
