Join our team! Downtown SLO is currently seeking a Market Manager to manage the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market on a weekly basis while developing and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors, membership, and community. This position is full-time with benefits.

The Market Manager position requires an understanding of effectively managing people, logistics, events, and entertainment to create harmony at San Luis Obispo’s largest ongoing event. Every Thursday night, the manager is responsible for transforming five city blocks into an outdoor market with over 100 vendor booths and entertainment locations with approximately 10,000–15,000 people visiting in any given night. The Market Manager is faced with many different personalities and is expected to address each individual professionally and enthusiastically. The Market Manager must be able to manage time efficiently, be a self-starter, and coordinate work with the Event Assistant, Operations Assistant, and interns, as well as other staff. As full time office staff, the Market Manager also assists with general office responsibilities as needed, such as answering phone calls, greeting guests, and occasionally helping with other programs that Downtown SLO produces.
