Parking Structures

Park & walk!

There is so much to see and do downtown; parking in the structures is convenient and safe!

  • $15.00/overnight

Street-side Parking

Pay for parking with just a few taps — no coins, no hassle. The City of SLO uses four parking apps that may already be on your phone! Learn more.

Street-side parking is available all throughout downtown SLO, and is enforced Monday – Saturday 9 AM – 9 PM, and Sundays 1–9 PM.

There is no parking in certain areas from 5–10 PM due to the weekly Thursday Farmers' Market! Make sure to pay attention to all posted signs. For a market map of no parking zones, click here.

For Businesses & Employees

Provide parking for your customers and employees.

  • Validation Program
    Reward your customers for shopping at your business with Validation Chaser Tickets to validate parking at any parking structure. Find the form here.
  • 10-hour Meter Permits
    With a 10-hour Meter Permit, your employees can park at an affordable rate at any 10-hour meters throughout the downtown area. Call (805)781-7230 for more information.
  • Quarterly Structure Parking Pass (PROX Card)
    The PROX Card pass provides downtown employees with reduced parking rates in either the Marsh Street Structure at 871 Marsh Street or the Old Palm Structure at 842 Palm Street. This is a great option for people that work 15 days or more downtown each month! Purchase online here.

Downtown Access Pass

All downtown employees are eligible to receive a free SLO Transit bus pass. Bring a current pay stub/proof of employment to the Downtown SLO Office to receive your access pass or apply online.


Other Options

Bikes

Ride your bike downtown! There is plentiful bike parking and a Bike Plaza on the corner of Monterey and Osos. Bring your bike lock and explore downtown.

Free bike valet is available every Thursday Night for the Farmers’ Market at the Bike Plaza and on Friday night in August and September at Concerts in the Plaza.

Bike SLO County

Old SLO Trolley

Take a historic and convenient mode of transportation! The Old SLO Trolley runs down Monterey Street, loops downtown, then runs back up Monterey Street every 20 minutes.

Community members can ride through the heart of Downtown SLO and its surrounding hotel areas, for 50 cents (or 25 cents for seniors and disabled riders). This historic mode of transportation offers passengers a convenient, car-free form of public transit, and is perfect for traveling to and from Downtown for dinner and shopping. 

Public Transportation

Ride the bus! Connect with SLO Transit, and if you are a downtown employee, you qualify for a free Downtown Access Pass.
