DTA_LOGOCongratulations are in order for recent appointments to the 2016-2018 San Luis Obispo Downtown Association Board of Directors. The nomination process began in early December and concluded with an election in February with seven candidates receiving votes to serve on the next term of  the 14-member Board of Directors. The new term will begin on April 1, 2016 and conclude March 31, 2018.

The Downtown Association is managed by the Board of Directors and is representative of multiple types of business within the district. The next term will have Directors representing industries that include: retail, restaurants, hospitality, design, professional services, banking, media and the non-profit sector. The diversity that this Board shares provides valuable insight into the matters that affect our Downtown businesses on a daily basis and allows the Downtown Association to continue serving our community on a daily basis.  This year’s appointments are as follows: Joanne Currie (Splash Café Seafood & Grill); Jules DuRocher (Jules D. Boutique); Kannyn January (Ambiance Clothing Boutique); Marshall Ochylski (The Law Offices of Marshall E. Ochylski); Stephen Patrick (Stephen Patrick Designs); Rodessa Newtown (Libertine Brewing Co.) and Pierre Rademaker (Rademaker Design).
