Wind down and kick off your weekend with some blues and jazzy tunes of the The Tipsy Gypsies, this Friday, July 22nd! THE premier summer concert series is presented by Sunset Honda and hosted by SLO Downtown Association and runs every Friday from June 10th through September 9th from 5 – 8 PM.

About the Band: The Tipsy Gypsies

The Tipsy Gypsies are a full electric group who play a lively repertoire of Blues, Jazz and Pop music from the 1910’s to the 2010’s. Vocalist Hilary Langdon, guitarist Forrestt Williams, violinist Allan Dick, bassist Brian Lanzone, drummer Daryl Vandruff and additional vocals provided by the talented Reese Galido make up the lineup of musicians who have been developing their organic style and honing musical skills for five years now.

About Concerts in the Plaza

Local vendors, Pizza Solo and Ubatuba Açai will sell snacks and food for hungry concertgoers while Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Chamisal Vineyards supply beer and wine for purchase.  Bar and food vendors open at 5 PM. We will also be serving our wines in eco-friendly wine glasses, so please remember to place your glasses in the designated recycle bins.

IMG_2599For our beer drinkers, you can purchase commemorative stainless steel Concerts in the Plaza pints for $15 which includes your first beer and reuse them all season. We are also encouraging concertgoers to reduce plastic waste by bringing your reusable water bottle.  There will be a spot to refill your water bottles at no cost!

Free bike valet service is also provided by Bike SLO County thanks to our sponsor San Luis Ranch/Coastal Community Builders.

Remember…Concerts in the Plaza is a family friendly event. No outside alcoholic beverages or pets are allowed and this is a non-smoking event. Please refrain from placing chairs and/or other material on the grass areas before 11:30 AM.

Old SLO Trolley

Trolley service is provided from both of the parking structures and at convenient locations within the Downtown core approximately every 15 minutes. The fare is 50 cents. Hours of operation are:

  • Thursdays - 5 PM to 9 PM - Year Round
  • Fridays - 5 PM to 9 PM - June-Labor Day
  • Saturday - 5 PM to 9 PM - April - October
