San Luis Obispo, CA—February 23 & 24, 2024— Live-to-Play is thrilled to unveil the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour Program set to captivate audiences at The Freemont Theater in downtown San Luis Obispo. Originally built in a Post-war Modern architecture, The Freemont Theater originally opened on May 29, 1942 with celebrities Max Baer, comedic duo Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy and child star Jackie Cooper in attendance. Today, The Freemont Theatre supports a Multipurpose Entertainment and Live Events venue which enhances the economic vitality of downtown San Luis Obispo for the benefit of the entire community.
Over two unforgettable evenings, attendees will experience two distinct Film Programs showcasing award-winning selections from the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival. Against the stunning backdrop of The Freemont Theater's architecture and design, this year's film selection promises to both thrill and inspire. This year we have already hosted sold-out shows in North Bend, Spokane, Vancouver, WA and Corvallis, OR.
Each year we select non-profits which will benefit from ticket sales proceeds. This year we will be supporting The Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (https://suwa.org).
