Every Thursday from 6 PM to 9 PM (March - October) and 6 PM to 8:30 PM (November-February)

Where do I park?

The market boundaries are closed to traffic starting at 5 PM on Thursday. Make sure you park outside the boundaries to avoid getting a ticket and/or getting towed.

We recommend parking in the parking structures.

When did the market start?

We unofficially started in the late '70s. Downtown shops began staying open after hours, but customers stayed away when cruising became popular during that time. To encourage customers to return downtown in the evening, The Downtown Association shut the street down on Thursdays and invited the shops to set up tables outside.In1983, we invited farmers to participate and officially became the Downtown SLO Farmers' Market! In 2023 we will be celebrating 40 years!

What is the market's mission?
