Join ECOSLO at the SLO County Library for a conversation about sustainability in our community and how local organizations and businesses are taking action. During this event, we’ll highlight the Library’s own efforts to operate more sustainably as a participant in the SLO County Green Business Program and explore the many ways the Library supports climate-friendly living.
Guests will also learn about the Library’s SustainabLoT (Library of Things) collection, where community members can borrow practical tools and resources—like induction cooktops and 3C-REN Home Energy Saver kits—to help reduce energy use at home. Carlos Hernandez from the SLO Climate Coalition will share information about their Home Energy Advising program, and several certified Green Businesses will be on hand to talk about the steps they’ve taken to make their operations more sustainable.
