Neurographic Art - Learn A New Way to Relax & Use Watercolor Pens
Neurographic Art is a meditative drawing method developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014, that combines art, psychology and neuroscience to help process emotions and reduce stress. It is an accessible practice that requires no artistic skill, focusing on the process of creation rather than the final result.
In this JunkGirls Workshop, you will learn the basics of Neurographic Art by choosing a word or phrase you want to process, draw your free-flowing lines, round the intersections to create patterns that resemble neural networks and use your brush pens to add color. You will get your own set of 24 watercolor brush pens, a dual-tip Sharpie Marker and a pad of mixed media paper (all of which you get to take home afterwards!)
