Our 2020 Business Education Series features dynamic speakers giving you tools and inspiration to grow your business and better serve your customers. This session focuses on Hospitality and Retention.

Jay Beck has served the Downtown community at several banks, including the new American Riviera Bank at the gateway to Downtown. He will share tips for how to access capital, what banks are looking for when it comes to small business loans, and best practices for financial management and how to take all the lessons you learn during this series to the next level.

Judy Mahan is the Incubator Director for Cal Poly CIE, Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at the HotHouse and the Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). At the CIE HotHouse, she leads programming to assist in the business development of over a dozen currently incubating companies. On the SBDC side, Judy manages the pool of expert consultants to support their clients. With experience as a corporate and securities attorney, Judy also provides legal guidance to more than 150 company clients within the SLO County SBDC network.

Kurt Friedmann (not pictured) is a partner of Friedmann-Magee Group, and has a 25-year background in customer development, coaching, sales management, training, and customer experience management.Register on Eventbrite for this Event

Business Education Series sessions are free for Downtown SLO members to attend as a member benefit.

Non-members are welcome to attend as a guest for $15 per person.

Each session runs from 8AM-10AM. Coffee and treats will be provided by Kreuzberg Coffee Company.
