What is Sip 'n' Saunter?

Local wineries, beverage providers, restaurants, and caterers from around the county will serve tastings and small bites at downtown retail locations. Attendees can “Sip & Saunter” their way through downtown’s beautiful tree-lined streets, sample some of the Central Coast’s finest food and drink, and discover the unique retailers in San Luis Obispo.

How does it work?

1. Check-in at your designated location

Refer to the location highlighted on your confirmation email and digital ticket. All attendees must check in at the start of the event.

Check-in begins promptly at 12:45 PM. If you plan on “sauntering” for the full three hours, we recommend arriving early!

Check-In A: Downtown SLO Office | 1135 Chorro Street

Check-In B: Seeds | 1040 Court Street

Upon check-in, receive your wristband, map, tote bag, and cup, granting you access to tastings at all locations. ID will be checked, 21+ only; leave children and pets at home.

2. Sip ‘n’ Saunter!

The rest is up to you! After check-in, you are free to saunter to any of the participating downtown retail locations of your choosing. Locations will be marked with floral balloons.

What will be available to sample?

With your ticket, you can access unlimited tastings from our participating food/beverage vendors. Taste beer, wine, cider, cocktails, and bites from some of the county’s best restaurants and caterers!

Participating Businesses & Pairings

Will shops be open during the event?

Yes! You are encouraged to shop as you sip; retailers will also be open to the public during the event, but only attendees with a Sip 'n' Saunter wristband will be able to sample drinks and bites.

Can I bring drinks from one location to another?

We ask that you finish your drink at each location and save your glass for the next stop. No alcohol is allowed outside retail shops.

Your cup is reusable! Bring it back downtown for Concerts in the Plaza this summer.

How do I get there?

Stay responsible and choose a safe ride!  Free bike racks are available at the Bike Corral at the corner of Monterey & Morro, and public parking is available in all three of the parking structures downtown for free on Sundays!

We strongly encourage all guests to use a designated driver or use ride-share services.

Are children allowed?

This is a 21+ event only, and ID will be checked. We ask that you leave children at home.

Are pets allowed?

This event will take place inside of various retail shops in downtown SLO. We ask that you keep animals at home.

What if I have food allergies?

For allergy and ingredient information, please consult participating food and beverage providers. The ticketholder is responsible for ensuring that the food and beverages they consume are consistent with their food restrictions and preferences.
