History Center of SLO is housed in one of California's Carnegie Library buildings. This 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1953 serves as the historical society for the entire county. Understanding the past is vital to our community's future.
The History Center of SLO promotes the understanding and appreciation of San Luis Obispo County history through the museum, historic adobe, tours, and more.
The Carnegie building includes a gallery, research room, and gift shop, plus nearby Dallidet Adobe and Gardens on 1185 Pacific Street in SLO.
