Celebrate Halloween in Downtown San Luis Obispo

CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN IN DOWNTOWN SAN LUIS OBISPO ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2023
Festivities include the Trick-or-Treat Trail, Costume Contest in Mission Plaza, “Scary-oke!”, and more!

San Luis Obispo, CA — Downtown SLO is excited to share that Halloween Festivities at the Downtown SLO Farmers’ Market will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5–8 PM. Kick-off Halloween weekend with the downtown Trick-or-Treat Trail, a Costume Contest in Mission Plaza, the “Scary-oke!” karaoke contest, and a costume-clad Farmers’ Market!

TRICK-OR-TREAT TRAIL • 5–8 PM sponsored by the Puzzle Effect & Insomnia Cookies

Families can follow the Trick-or-Treat Trail to 30+ downtown businesses and collect candy. Start at Mission Plaza and follow the map through downtown. Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to bring their own treat bags and print maps at home. The Trail map will be published online at DowntownSLO.com/Halloween.

Additionally, select Farmers’ Market vendors will be passing out candy starting at 6 PM.

COSTUME CONTEST IN MISSION PLAZA • Registration: 5 PM, Contest: 6:30–8 PM
sponsored by Insomnia Cookies, with 98.1 KJUG

Prizes from local businesses will be awarded to winners in the following categories: Age groups 0–2, 3–4, 5–8, and 9–12, as well as pairs and groups/families.

“SCARY-OKE!” AT CHORRO/HIGUERA • 6–8 PM sponsored by Kramer Events, The Haunt in Atascadero; with Coast 104.5 & The Krush 92.5

Sing your heart out and compete in this karaoke competition for cash prizes!

FARMERS’ MARKET • 6–9 PM

Come in your costumes and enjoy five blocks of over 100 vendors offering fresh produce, famous BBQ, delicious meals, crafts, baked goods, entertainment, and more. A map of vendors will be published here.
