General Content Guidelines

Please note that the Downtown SLO team may decline content that does not meet the following guidelines or align with our organizational values.

  • Content must be directly related to downtown San Luis Obispo. (See our BIA map here).
  • Content must be appropriate. (Overly explicit and adult content will be declined.)
  • Content must align with our organizational values.
  • Content must be nonpolitical.
  • Content must not conflict with the interests of the organization.
  • Content should be aimed at bringing people downtown.

General Event Submission Guidelines

Please note that we only promote events that meet the following criteria:

  • The event must take place in downtown San Luis Obispo. (See our BIA map here)
  • The event must be open to the public and inclusive.
  • The event should be aimed at bringing people downtown.
  • The event must be special. General sales/discounts or excessively repeating events will not be posted.*
  • Any events that are religious or political by nature may be declined.

*Sales/discounts and excessively repeating events are eligible for reshare on our Instagram stories.
